Magic Kingdom is what most people think of when they picture Disney World — and for good reason.
It was the original Disney World park and is home to Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and so much more. Part of what makes Magic Kingdom so iconic is the entertainment, especially the parades. But, we recently noticed something strange on the Disney World website…
It looks like we may be in for some changes at Magic Kingdom soon — according to the Disney World website, at least. It looks like the Festival of Fantasy Parade may be taking a hiatus beginning August 4th.
We checked the weekly calendar and it looks like the closure continues as far as the calendar goes out — into early September for now.
But, we noticed the same could be said for the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade that takes place twice daily in Magic Kingdom. Beginning August 4th, no times are showing on the Disney World website.
We’re not sure if this is a website glitch or what as Disney hasn’t made any sort of announcements or other updates about these parades not running during these dates. It would be strange for the parades to not be running, as they draw pretty huge crowds and can be some of the best memories you make on your trip!
One thing is for sure, we’ll continue to check the Disney World website to look for any changes to the parade schedule and will let you know if we learn anything. For now, we’d recommend proceeding with caution if you were planning a trip during these dates and the parades are a must-do for you.

Festival of Fantasy is one of my favorite things to do at MK. I don’t want them to get rid of it. I don’t want them to change it. If they change anything, just add more characters. Don’t take away the characters that we have, and don’t change the outfits/appearances of the characters.
