The day has finally come to experience Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction: the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure recently opened in Magic Kingdom too, but this new attraction is a retheme of the original opening day attraction, Country Bear Jamboree. We got a chance to preview this new show, and just had to share with you all the fun Easter eggs we saw that hinted to the original show!
Everyone has been wondering what details from the original show would still be around in the revamped version. Now that we’ve seen it, we have an answer!
But before we get into it, let’s chat quickly about what has actually changed in this classic attraction. You’ll still get to see some of your favorite singing bears, but now they’ll be singing classic Disney songs in the styles of bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, and rockabilly.

The show vibe itself will now be based on those iconic Nashville, Tennessee Opry-style shows and will have new costumes on the bears to match. We also know that “Liver Lips McGrowl” has been renamed to Romeo McGrowl.

So what parts of this show still pay tribute to the original show? We’ve got them all here for you!

Several Easter eggs appear in the show’s entrance and queue line, including paintings of the titular bears in costumes and poses that mimic their appearances in the original show, as well as props and costume pieces on display as “artifacts.”
There are lots of details in the waiting room including Easter eggs and nods to the previous version if the attraction! #mediaevent#CountryBearMusicalJamboree#WaltDisneyWorld pic.twitter.com/i1cD82Dexm

These displays include faux awards…

…magazines that reference the original attraction…

…and even some “musical” artifacts!

We particularly loved the written-in “bear-scratch” sheet music for the original show’s finale song “Come Again” as well as the “handwritten” setlist scrawled on a napkin from the Hungry Bear Restaurant.

There’s also a really fun callback in the show itself. When Big Al appears to sing “Remember Me”, he first teases that he’s going to perform “Blood on the Saddle” from the original Country Bear Jamboree.

Don’t worry — Melvin, Buff, and Max are still a part of the show! They are hanging out in the same spot as usual above the exit doors.

Be sure to expect some longer waits than usual for a little bit while people are extra excited to experience this new attraction. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts about the new show, and stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
