Disney constantly makes cosmetic updates to its parks, and we see it all the time when we visit!
When we’re walking around Disney World, we often see refurbishments happening with everything from paint to concrete. They’ve got to keep the parks looking fresh and clean, so they pay attention to those little details! But besides the necessary touch-ups, we’ve also often seen the parks get updated decor — especially when new movies come out.
During a recent visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we stopped by Pixar Plaza to see if anything was new, and we immediately noticed this updated entrance gate!
The former gate was a plain brown design, but now we’ve got one that’s colorful and artsy, with nods to various Pixar films in subtle icons.
We noticed nods to Wall-E, Up, Finding Nemo, Cars, and more! How cute is this?!
This is the second new addition to the area recently. A little while ago, Disney added a mural for Inside Out 2, which hit theaters in June. If you love the film, make sure to stop by and snap a photo with it!
It even features the iconic memory orbs! We’ve seen Disney lightly decorate Pixar Plaza in the past for new movie releases, so we’ll be interested to see what they do next.
And just in case you missed the news, you can now meet Joy from Inside Out in Pixar Plaza! Her meet and greet moved from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios back in June, and now you can find her in this courtyard throughout the day.
Inside Out 2 has been taking the theaters by storm this summer, with pretty great ratings and box office performance. It’s not a surprise, since the first film was so popular! We’ve seen quite a few themed celebrations for the film in Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
