NEWS: Disney Cruise Line Makes Policy Change for Upcoming Sailings

What’s one of the best ways to take your summer vacation? Why, a cruise, of course!

Disney Cruise Line has a variety of itineraries lined up for 2024 and some even include its new island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. We know quite a few Disney fans are planning on hitting the sea this summer, but if your departure date is in September or later, we’ve got a warning for you!

Disney Cruise Line has announced that it’s changing its all-aboard time for select sailings starting on September 2nd. This update will apply to anyone aboard the Disney Wish or Disney Magic with sailings departing from the Florida ports.

The all-aboard time for these sailings will be changing from 4PM to 3PM, allowing the sailing to get underway sooner than before. Disney encourages those with independent flight arrangements to review the recommended flight-time guidelines for their departure port.

If you’re on one of these upcoming sailings, you can expect to receive an email from Disney Cruise Line with these new details. AllEars reader Erin V. sent us a copy of her email, so see the image below for an example.

Update (July 16th, 2024):

Disney has shared a message with Travel Agents about some changes with All Aboard times. Per that message, those booked on Disney Dream sailings beginning November 6th, 2024 OR Disney Fantasy sailings beginning December 14th, 2024 departing from Florida-based ports should be getting SeaMail alerting them to a change in All Aboard times. The All Aboard time for those sailings is changing from 4PM to 3PM.
