A POPULAR Hollywood Studios Ride Opened EARLY Following Months-Long Closure in Disney World

For MONTHS we’ve been waiting for the reopening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney World, and we’ve been counting down the days until we can ride again.

This is the second time the ride has been closed for an extended period of time in the past two years, and we were thrilled to hear that it was going to be opening EARLY on July 1st. However, we were in for another surprise — the ride soft opened even EARLIER today, June 30th!

On June 30th, when we visited Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we were surprised to see that there was some activity happening. After watching for a moment, sure enough, we realized the ride was open!

It’s open EARLY!

There wasn’t a very long line for the attraction since it appeared to be a soft opening, meaning Disney World wasn’t advertising that the ride was open. In fact, it wasn’t listed as open on the My Disney Experience app or online.

Whoo hoo!

When we stepped inside, we didn’t see any major changes to the attraction or the theming, which was to be expected.

We’re so excited to ride again!

But this also meant that Rock Around The Shop, the merchandise location at the end of the ride, is open again! It appears that the merchandise in the shop is similar to what it was before.

Some of it is themed to the attraction itself, but we also noticed some Stitch merchandise and more general Disney World merchandise as well.

More merch!

The ride will officially be open on July 1st, so if you missed it today, don’t worry! Be prepared for some longer waits than normal though due to the ride reopening after such a months-long closure.
