Yes, Disney World’s Newest Ride WILL Be Open at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

We’ve got some very important news — Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has been confirmed to return in 2024!

The beloved after hours holiday event takes place inside Magic Kingdom and now we know exactly when for the 2024 holiday season. Along with this announcement, Disney confirmed several fan favorites are returning…but they also confirmed something NEW. Let’s talk about it!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will run on certain nights from November 8th to December 20th, 2024. Included in the price of the ticket, you’ll have the chance to watch the beloved Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and experience attractions with a shorter wait. Now, Disney has revealed which attractions will be open at the 2024 events!

First of all, we have to mention that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is included in this list and will be open for the holiday party! There’s no word yet if Disney will use a Virtual Queue system during the party for this ride (or TRON Lightcycle / Run), but we’ll keep an eye out for any updates. This makes sense as Splash Mountain was included in the lineup for these parties before it closed.

On top of that, several holiday overlays are returning to rides for the party. That includes:

• Space Mountain — launches you on a journey through the cosmos with high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.
• “Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays” — Cruise a festive freeway filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.
• Mad Tea Party — This becomes a wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.
• Jingle Cruise — The classic Jungle Cruise ride filled with holiday-themed puns. This overlay will be available during the day as well.
• Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor — Visit Monstropolis as the crew puts some “ha ha ha” in their “ho ho ho” with a seasonal show.

It’s also important to note that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets got a price increase this year. In 2023, the prices ranged from $159 to $199 per ticket, but in 2024, the range is now $169 to $219 per ticket, plus tax. The price depends on the date you choose to attend.

Exact ticket prices for each date will likely be revealed when tickets become available to purchase. Hotel guests can begin booking tickets on July 2nd and tickets will open to everyone on July 10th.

Back when Disney made announcements for the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was originally included in the list…and then removed later that day. This was BEFORE the opening date was announced. It still hasn’t returned to the list online for the Halloween event, but we expect it to be open since as of June 28th, the Princess and the Frog ride will officially be open.
