A new, highly-anticipated ride is finally OPENING this week in Magic Kingdom!

However, even as this ride finally opens its doors, several other rides, attractions, and restaurants will remain CLOSED. Take a look at everything that will be closed next week, from June 24th through the 29th.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is finally opening this week, on June 28th!

Disney has re-themed Splash Mountain to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. We finally got to ride it during Annual Passholder previews, and now we’re excited for you all to experience it as well!

One warning we need to share with you: the ride seems to be breaking down a LOT during previews. We’re concerned that these problems could continue on and after the ride’s opening day, so it might be good to have a back-up plan in case a closure affects your trip.
5 Things We Learned Riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for the FIRST Time in Disney World!
While Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will finally open this week, many other attractions and restaurants will remain closed. Here’s a full list.
Magic Kingdom
Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree is still being reimagined in Magic Kingdom. The show closed on January 27th and will reopen with the new, updated show on July 17th.

Disney recently shared a sneak peek at some new costumes and the new music coming to the show!
Tomorrowland Terrace
Tomorrowland Terrace is a restaurant in Magic Kingdom that has usually only been open occasionally, generally during particularly busy seasons. However, it’s been a LONG time since we’ve seen this spot open at all.

Currently, it’s only used for Magic Kingdom fireworks dessert parties, and there’s no word on when it might serve food again.

EPCOT
Test Track
Test Track is being reimagined! Besides some concept art, we don’t know much about what this update will entail.

We know that the ride will continue to be a partnership with Chevrolet and that they will be taking some inspiration from the original ride World of Motion.
Test Track closed on June 17th and we don’t have any information about its reopening date or timeline yet. We’ll be watching for updates!
Restaurant Marrakesh
Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion of World Showcase is closed. The restaurant was previously used as an Annual Passholder lounge during the V.I.Passholder Days, but it has closed once again.

We’re still waiting for the full dining experience to return to this restaurant.
Disney Vacation Club Lounge
The DVC lounge at the Imagination pavilion closed for refurbishment on June 2nd.

The lounge will be closed until July 13th, but while it’s closed, DVC members can use the temporary lounge located at the Odyssey pavilion.

These exclusive lounges offer a place for members to hang out and relax while recharging their phones and themselves. Food and beverages are offered, but remember to go to the Odyssey pavilion for the next few weeks.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed on January 8th and will remain closed for a pretty long time. The ride is finally opening on July 27th, so we only have a little while longer to wait!

If you’ve missed this ride as much as we have be sure to be in Hollywood Studios on or after July 27th!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid as we know it will NOT return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s closed now, and Disney has confirmed that this show has permanently closed to make way for an updated version.

“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”, an all-new stage show, will replace the show in the Animation Courtyard theater in Fall 2024.

Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon was closed for several months but finally opened on March 17th, 2024! Woo hoo!

However, on that same day (March 17th) Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishments. Since it just closed, we do not know when it will reopen again, but since 2020 we’ve noticed that the two water parks generally flip-flop being open.

That means that, even though it’s currently summertime and thus peak water park season, we may only have one option of water parks to go to. We’ll be watching for news of Blizzard Beach reopening, but for now, just head over to Typhoon Lagoon!
