2 Things Just Happened in Disney World: EPCOT Was Shockingly EMPTY and Rides Kept CLOSING

That means summer crowds in Disney World are in full swing, the heat is OUT of this world, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is about to open in Magic Kingdom! If you’re visiting the parks this week, here are the types of crowds you should expect to see ahead of a holiday week.

Here’s a peek at the Disney World wait times on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024.

Magic Kingdom

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the highest wait time of the day at 80 minutes, but the more interesting news is that MULTIPLE attractions closed throughout the day. Pirates of the Caribbean had a VERY rough day, and 5 (!!!) other rides hit unexpected closures throughout the day.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure hit an 80-minute wait and then closed for an hour later in the day, but otherwise, wait times stayed relatively low! Could it be because there’s no EPCOT festival drawing people to the park right now? Possibly — whatever the reason, we’re not complaining! Considering this was. Saturday, the park seemed suspiciously EMPTY!

Rise of the Resistance had the highest wait of 120 minutes after being closed for multiple hours in the morning. And once it came up? Yeah, Slinky Dog Dash went down. It wasn‘t the greatest day for rides in Hollywood Studios, but we’ve certainly seen worse!
