REVIEW: Disney World Hotels Are HIDING 3 New AMAZING Breakfast Items

Disney World just rolled out several new menu items and we’ve GOT to talk about them!

New breakfast items!

Disney World has been through quite a few changes lately like debuting new shows, bringing down construction walls around EPCOT, and offering up a whole slew of treats you can grab for a limited time in the parks. But, if you thought they were done there, they’ve also changed one of the first things you’re walking right past in the mornings!

Breakfast at Disney World has got to be one of our favorite topics to cover in all of Disney World! In fact, we love it so much that we could spend literally hours going on and on about it. So, when we caught wind of a few new menu items popping up at some of the most popular Disney World hotels, we knew we were just the ones to go out and investigate for all our sakes.

Breakfast at Disney World

Our search took us to a few different hotels so we’ll be covering each respectively. Our first stop took us to Roaring Fork, the quick-service restaurant at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Roaring Fork

This hotel is known for its nods to national parks and its surrounding wildlife and the menu here tends to reflect things you might find on a trip visiting these parks and landmarks. So, consider our interests piqued when we noticed that a Loaded Totcho Bowl had made the starting lineup for the day!

This bowl is made of Potato Barrels, Scrambled Eggs, Cheddar, Sausage Gravy, Bacon, and Green Onion and we picked it up for $10.99. If it sounds and looks good already, it tastes even BETTER!

Loaded Totcho Bowl

My friends, this is a hearty breakfast for the Disney World champion! It’s got all the familiar textures you would expect of a breakfast sampling like this blended so well together between the creamy gravy, the tender bacon strips, the squishy scrambled egg, and the gooey cheese! There’s also a little extra flavor from the green onions on top of those crispy, warm tots.

If it wasn’t apparent by now we thought this dish was delicious and we’re ready to shout about it from the rooftops (or at least to our online friends here)! If we had to be nitpicky with this one, our only complaint is that while it looks like a big portion at first, you’ll really want to gauge how hungry you are when choosing to split it with someone else because you might love it so much that you end up going back for another round!

So cheesy!

Next, we headed over to the Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (kind of convenient that these two hotels are almost neighbors to each other near the Magic Kingdom). Our search for their newest breakfast items led us right onto the 4th floor of the iconic hotel building.

Contempo Cafe

Once there, we pulled up our My Disney Experience app and mobile ordered not one, but TWO new breakfast options to try out — the Breakfast Burrito and the Biscuits with Gravy.

We’ll try to keep this as simple as possible, so let’s talk about those Biscuits and Gravy first! They’re made of warm buttermilk biscuits, house-made gravy, and chives sprinkled on top served as a side portion which cost us $4.49.

Biscuits and Gravy

We gotta warn you though — this is not your grandma’s gravy! It’s a homemade blend of creamy gravy with tidbits of sausage that isn’t too flavorful on its own, except for the slight spice to it, kind of like an Italian sausage. But it’s good! The chives kind of give it a bit of a flavored zing to the mix that if you’re not used to might throw you off a bit.

Inside look

The buttermilk biscuits are soft and pillowy on their own but this portion is a great option for someone who’s a light eater and prefers to have a quick meal or keep on the go.

A fork full of creamy goodness

Then it was time to turn our attention to the Breakfast Burrito! This dish is made of scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, cheesy potato, chipotle aïoli, and a three-cheese blend for $9.49.

Breakfast Burrito with tots

This thing tastes JUST like a bacon egg and cheese biscuit just on a different bread with the burrito tortilla. The tortilla is fried and wraps well around the contents and when we bit into it, we didn’t have too much of it spill out on us. It’s served cut in half already making it easily shareable.

The BEST

The egg is fluffy and moist, and the bacon chunks are noticeable but the real start here is the blend of melted cheeses around the outside and what you’ll taste within it. They’re slightly cooked and it’s so yummy! This comes served with a side of tots and they’re pretty run-of-the-mill for Disney World tots that are crispy and salty. There’s not a ton of them served here but they’re decent enough portion of a side to split between two people.

TOTS!

So it seems that breakfast at Disney World remains tried and true even standing up to our taste tests with new menu items. We’re always excited to see what’s changing around Disney World even if it means that we have to be the ones that take one for the team and review them!
