Where are you headed next?

If you’re flying out of Orlando International Airport (MCO) today, we’ve got some less-than-stellar news for you — quite a few flights have been delayed and some have been canceled altogether at MCO.

Orlando International Airport

According to FlightAware.com, as of around 1:45PM ET, 106 flights had been delayed and 27 were canceled completely.

Flights

American Airlines appears to be having the most problems, with 15 flights canceled and 13 delayed. 28 Southwest Airlines flights have been delayed, but only 8 had been canceled when we checked. Make sure you check your airline’s app for the most up to date information about your flight!

Significant rain is expected in Central Florida this week. Starting on Tuesday, June 11th, the chance of rain will be 80% and that number will stay above 60% all the way through Sunday.

Rainy day in Animal Kingdom

According to Click Orlando, the same area of tropical moisture that will be causing this rain is currently under watch from the National Hurricane Center (NHC). It’s an area of low pressure over the eastern Gulf of Mexico, and the NHC is watching it for tropical development. The system will travel across Florida, but as it hits the Atlantic, conditions may be favorable for it to develop. We’ll keep you in the loop if the possibility of a larger storm seems high.

Hopefully, this rain will be enough for Disney World to reopen the Sassagoula River Cruise boats that run as transportation between Disney Springs and the resorts in that area. They’ve been closed for a while because the water level has been too low, so our fingers are crossed for a little help from the weather!
