CONFIRMED: Full List of Disney World Ride Closures in July 2024

If you’re traveling to Disney World in July this year, we’ve got some pretty big updates you need to be aware of.

Disney World

After picking your hotel, booking travel, and making your dining reservations, you’re probably ready for the fun part — experiencing the Disney Parks! However, if you plan on visiting Disney World in July 2024, there are some ride closures scheduled that you need to be aware of so you can plan accordingly.

Test Track

Back in April, it was announced that Test Track is set to close for a reimaging beginning June 17th.

While some concept art has been released, much of this EPCOT ride’s changes are still unknown to the public, as is the reimagining timeframe. Based on what we know, we should expect this ride to be closed for the full length of July.

We’ll let you know as soon as a reopening date is announced, so stay posted for any updates!

Country Bear Jamboree

Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom is getting a makeover with a new show that is set to reopen this summer.

Country Bear Jamboree

The show closed back in January and it may reopen in July. However, as of this writing, nothing concrete has been announced and its closure is something we’re continuing to monitor.

The new show will feature new songs (and a few familiar Disney ones) in a variety of different styles inspired by Nashville Opry-style shows, as well as some character changes and makeovers.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is FINALLY set to reopen after a four-year hiatus this fall.

The show won’t come exactly the same, though. The reimagined show will be called The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure and will include a mix of live actors and puppets in some scenes.

The show does not have an opening date yet, but Disney has teased a fall opening so it’s safe to assume it will remain closed in July.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

After being closed for most of the year so far, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is slated to reopen on July 27th, 2024 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Closed since January 2024 along with most of the Sunset Blvd. area, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has undergone a lengthy refurbishment that hopefully has provided some much-deserved TLC.

While the Disney World website still says the ride will open this summer, we looked ahead, and beginning July 27th, the site lists the ride as “open”.

Everything at Blizzard Beach

Disney World has been rotating water parks for the past few years, keeping one open and closing the other. Right now, Typhoon Lagoon is open so it’s Blizzard Beach’s turn to wait on the sideline.

Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach

Last year, Blizzard Beach reopened in November, so if Disney is following a similar timeline that’s the month to watch.
