NEW Permit Filed for Country Bear Jamboree Changes at Disney World

WARNING. Magic Kingdom might give you a jump scare right now. One land is getting a total overhaul!

Frontierland

Frontierland is (and has been) under construction for a while, but things are moving along. Splash Mountain closed in 2023 to make way for an all-new Princess and the Frog ride — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Country Bear Jamboree closed its doors earlier this year for a major refurbishment and changes. Now, we’ve got a new update on the latter that we had to share with you!

Country Bear Jamboree is set to reopen this summer…but it will be a completely different show! While fan-favorite characters are sticking around, the bears are getting a new setlist and outfits. That’s right — they’ll be singing some of your favorite Disney songs in different styles of country music!

We’ve been watching the construction inside Magic Kingdom as much as possible from the outside. But now, Disney has filed a new permit for the attraction so we know about one change that could hit the building soon.

Disney recently filed a new permit for the show that says “Install signage.” The document doesn’t give an exact timeline or many details, but that means we can expect to see a new sign go up…and hopefully soon!

A new Country Bear Jamboree is coming soon!

In April, the sign was gone/covered up and has been like this ever since. Usually, when construction is not behind walls, Disney makes these changes overnight. Hopefully one day we’ll just walk into Magic Kingdom and see the new sign! It will likely be an entirely different design to fit the theme and vibe of the new show, but we’ll just have to wait and see to know for sure!

This isn’t the only news we’ve seen about the show recently. Earlier this week, Disney shared a look at the new outfits for Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah. “Shapewear for bears” is officially catching on, and the public seemed to have a positive reaction to the first look.

As for the other major project in Frontierland, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure finally has an opening date! The water ride will officially open to the public on June 28th, 2024, and we can’t wait.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is “Almost… HERE”

Before that, Disney is hosting previews for Cast Members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and D23 Members. If you want to be the first to see inside the new attraction, be sure to follow along right here on AllEars!
