We are counting down the days until Epic Universe opens in 2025. To say we are excited is an understatement and we are always on the lookout for new updates.

Even though the new theme park is not slated to open until 2025, ride testing has already begun. Last Friday, a local news station got footage of ride testing in the “Dark Universe” world, and we have more exciting news coming out of Epic Universe!

Epic Universe is taking shape and we are seeing that it is living up to its “epic” name. The theme park will contain five lands. Each land will have its own mix of attractions, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping.

Last week, we saw footage of a ride being tested in “Dark Universe” world, and yesterday we saw footage of Starfall Racers being tested in the Celestial Park area.

Celestial Park is the “world between worlds, where everything begins and ends.” This area contains the portals to the other themed areas. In Celestial Park, you will find, “lush living gardens nestled along shimmering waters surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements.”

Celestial Park area will be home to numerous attractions, including Starfall Racers. Starfall Racers is “a dual-launch racing coaster that sends guests rocketing through the skies aboard comets in a race to see who’s the fastest of them all.”

This ride will be Epic Universe’s most thrilling coaster experience. The roller coaster will feature unique maneuvers including an inverted crisscross of the two dueling ride vehicles.

Christina Watkins, from WESH 2, posted this footage of Starfall racers testing on March 19th, 2024 (you will also see the previous footage of the Dark Universe coaster being tested):

That ride vehicle is moving! It definitely looks like it will be a thrilling experience and we can’t wait to see it with both ride vehicles going at the same time.

Ride testing is an exciting step in the opening of a new theme park, and it looks like Universal is making good progress on its brand-new park! We can’t wait for even more updates as we get closer to 2025.
