This Could Be the Best NEW Ride Coming to Orlando in 2024

We know, we know, we talk about Disney World a LOT around here, but there are other theme parks in Orlando.

We talk about Universal Orlando a lot as well (especially with Epic Universe coming next year). But there are a few other parks we should point out, too, like Aquatica Orlando. In fact, there’s a new ride coming to that water park that could convince us to leave Disney and Universal this summer.

Aquatica Orlando is debuting a brand-new, immersive, one-of-a-kind waterslide called Tassie’s Underwater Twist. The waterslide takes guests to Australia’s Shark Bay, where they slide through a realistic (!!!) digital underwater world full of manta rays, humpback whales, fish, plants, sea turtles, sharks, and more.

The ride promises “adrenaline pumping twists and turns” set to an “inspiring orchestral score.” It’s 129-feet long and features a synchronized video display that surrounds you in an underwater world. The experience uses two-seater innertubes so you can bring a friend along for the ride.

Tassie’s Underwater Twist officially opens on March 15th, but you can ride it early if you have an Aquatica Annual Pass. The Pass also gets you 12 months of visits with benefits like free parking, free tickets, access to VIP events, discounts on merchandise, and more.

Right now, you can also save up to 50% off tickets, Fun Cards, and Annual Passes. You’ll need to hurry, though, because the sale ends on March 10th.
