When it comes to crowds and wait times, we can usually expect those to soar a bit during holiday weekends.
February 19th marks President’s Day this year, and we noticed those crowds earlier in the weekend as park pass reservations for Annual Passholders sold out. Usually, we can tell if a day will be super busy or not based on the park pass reservation calendar and how many parks are sold out. There’s also another trick we like to use — looking at Genie+ prices and availability!
When Genie+ first debuted at Disney World, there was only one option available — a multi-park option that remained at a capped price of $15 until Disney announced in 2022 that the price would be uncapped based on demand.
In 2023, Disney changed the system a bit to provide options for those folks that wouldn’t be park hopping. You could then by single-park options for each park as well as a multi-park option. These are all subject to surge pricing based on demand, and are limited in quantity. If one single-park option sold out, then the multi-park option would automatically sell out, since folks would then not be able to get their full money’s worth.
We’ve seen individual parks sell out before, thus we’ve seen the multi-park option sell out. However, on February 19th, we saw something we haven’t seen before. ? The multi-park option sold out even though the individual park options were still available.
We’ve never seen this happen before, and we were honestly wondering if it could be a glitch. However, it remained sold out throughout the morning. All of the parks have full reservation availability, though.

We did 4 parks today and EVERY park was very, very crowded it felt. We bought the multiple park Genie+ and were able to make lightning lanes for each park, pretty easily thankfully! Probably won’t be back this same weekend next year though!
