NEWS: Indiana Jones Stunt Show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios IMPACTED Due to Rain

Today, February 17th, has been quite a rainy day in Disney World.

Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom

Rainy days in Disney are nothing to be scared of, but they definitely can change your plans. Outdoor rides will close if there’s lightning in the area, and as it turns out, one show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios may have a delay if there’s rain!

We headed into Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular to watch the show on this rainy day since the seating area is entirely covered. However, part of the show does take place outside, and so we learned the hard way that when the weather isn’t great, the show can be delayed. We heard an announcement over the loudspeaker telling us all about it.

The show was delayed

The show eventually went on, but when the rain didn’t slow down or stop select scenes were cut that would endanger the actors in the weather. This did mean that the show was shorter, but it also meant that it was a special version we hadn’t seen before!

Still going in the rain!

Since the whole show is about showing the audience how certain stunts are done, the actor playing the Director informed the audience that the desert airplane scene was being cut due to the rain. Before the actors perform the car flip scene, the Stunt Director told the audience, “This is the last shot for now, because of that rain.”

He also explained to the audience that everything was being controlled by the team of very talented technicians, and asked for everyone to give them a round of applause.

They’re amazing!

While it may be disappointing to not see certain scenes, what’s most important is the safety of the performers, and we’re glad to see that Disney put their safety first. On any Disney vacation, it’s imperative to remember that things may not always go as planned, so it’s important to be flexible.

It’s rainy over here!
