Some big changes are happening at Magic Kingdom this year.

A brand NEW attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, is set to open sometime this year. The Country Bears Jamboree is getting a NEW show that will open this summer. Plus, a very…interesting…experience is coming to Storybook Circus and we just think we spotted an update!
Last year, Disney announced that “Smellephants on Parade” was coming to Storybook Circus. It’s a family-friendly “search and sniff adventure” presented by Scentsy. Yes, it sounds like Disney wants you to go around Storybook Circus sniffing things.

Previously. we started spotting some signs that Smellephants might be coming soon, including some new wording on signs for Dumbo that say “presented by Scentsy.”

Well, we were just in Storybook Circus recently and spotted something that could be another sign that Smellephants on Parade is coming soon. We noticed that the bushes that were in the area next to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station have been removed. Was this done in preparation for Smellephants on Parade?

Now we don’t know that this was done to make room for the Smellephants on Parade, but we know that this new experience is coming soon, so this could be a sign. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates, though, so be sure to check back with AllEars soon for more!

Why does no one in print say “The” Magic Kingdom any more? That’s the way everyone said it for years.
Hi Bill! The reason we call it “Magic Kingdom” is because the name was officially changed in 2017. When Walt Disney World first opened in 1971, the official full name was “Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom” and remained that way until 1994 when it was changed to The Magic Kingdom. We all referred to it this way from 1994-2017, but once the “The” was officially dropped in 2017, we have since referred to it as simply “Magic Kingdom.”
