NEWS: Disney Teams Up With Fox, Warner Bros. To Build NEW Sports Streaming Service

If so, then you’ll like this news! A new sports deal that includes ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. is going to change the way you watch sports. The team up of the three companies will make watching sports entertainment a lot simpler in the near future!

According to the Wall Street Journal, Fox Corp., ESPN, and Warner Bros. Discover will be creating a new streaming service to share sports assets. The platform is yet unnamed but will be a stand-alone streaming service that acts as a sports-streaming bundle.

The sports streaming service will be available to ESPN+, Hulu, and Max subscribers. Each of the three companies will have equal ownership (one-third) of the platform. This could bring you most of your sports entertainment right to one, easily accessible location.

ESPN has been seeking a strategic partner and has been communicating with the NFL, NBA, and NHL to develop this partnership. The sports network, ESPN, is also working to make its services direct-to-consumer in the next few years.

The three companies are looking to make the new sports streaming platform available to consumers later this year. It is possible that more information will be provided at Disney’s upcoming earnings call set for February 7th.
