Magic Kingdom is the home of at least one parade almost every day of the year, and we see a lot of celebs in them … Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Tiana, Chip, Donald … and the list goes on and on!
But on special days, you might spot an extra celebrity as the parade grand marshal — and today was a special day in Disney World!
The 3PM parade kicked off with a special “Celebrate Soulfully” banner and a car with the parade’s special grand marshal!
Michael James-Scott played Genie in “Aladdin” on Broadway, and he also grew up down the road in Orlando! James-Scott waved to the crowd all along the parade route today.

If you missed your chance to see him today, you can catch Michael James-Scott in the Disney on Broadway Concert Series at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! He’ll be on stage February 9th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 18th and 19th.
