WARNING: Nasty Weather Is Heading Toward Disney World This Weekend

Traveling to Orlando in the first few months of the year? Be prepared to experience all four seasons in the span of a week.

Rainy Day in EPCOT

Last week, we were battling 80+ degree temperatures in Disney World, and then earlier this week we were issuing warnings about cold weather. But now, we’ve got a different kind of weather update for those traveling soon!

Fox 35 reports that there will be a significant change from the mild weather we’ve been experiencing coming up this weekend. On Sunday, February 4th, we can expect a significant amount of rainfall due to a “Southern soaker” system headed for Florida.

The system is likely to bring 1-2 inches of rainfall, which will heavily impact outdoor activities. There’s not a major threat of more severe storms since the temperatures will remain cooler in Central Florida.

So what does this mean if you’re heading to Disney World? Well, first of all, you’ll want to pack properly with warm clothes and rainy-day gear. Pack those rain jackets, ponchos, and umbrellas if you’re heading to the parks.

Also, you might need to keep a watch on hourly forecasts to see how to structure your park day. Plan outdoor rides and activities for days and times where the storm won’t be a threat to operations.
