When Will Tickets For Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Go On Sale For 2024?

If you’re already having holidays at Disney World withdrawals, you’re not alone!

It seems like only yesterday we were jamming out to the sights, sounds, and smells of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. If the removal of holiday decorations across Disney World has you singing the blues now that the holiday season has come and gone, we’ve compiled a little bit of speculative information about when you could snag tickets to the 2024 MVMCP to keep that holiday cheer going.

If you’re not already familiar with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party then you’re in for a real treat. This long-standing nighttime party happens for a limited amount of special event tickets sold to people who are willing to attend Magic Kingdom during the late hours of the night. The party typically lasts somewhere around 7PM until midnight and features fan favorites like a holiday-themed stage show in front of Cinderella Castle, the super popular Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade with a glimpse of Santa himself, “snoap” that snows down Main Street U.S.A., and party exclusive perimeter fireworks created especially for the holidays.

So far all we have to go on (right now) is the previous year’s dates of when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party news was released. While we’re still currently waiting for confirmation of the holiday party’s return in 2024, we figured there’s no harm in comparing when we found out information about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year to give us the best-educated guess on when we may start hearing news release and in what order.

In 2023, we first got clues from Disney indicating that we could see a return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party around mid-April.  It wasn’t until a few months later that we finally got the first official word that the highly anticipated holiday party would be returning to Magic Kingdom ahead of the late fall and winter season.

Shortly after this news in mid-June 2023, we also learned the exact dates the party nights would be taking place.

These nighttime parties once again confirmed several dates spread throughout November and December 2023 that the special ticketed event would be held.

This may have been in hopes that folks would be able to align the right dates they were visiting with their ideal date to visit MVMCP during their trip (and maybe an alternate date just in case they sold quickly). But again, this was all information ahead of the actual tickets going on sale. More details emerged shortly after about pricing and when MVMCP tickets would be going on sale (and if certain affinity groups would be eligible for discounts on these tickets.)

At that point, we seemed to have all the information we needed and by early July 2023, tickets officially went on sale for the upcoming holiday festivities.

2023 also saw tickets at the highest prices we’ve seen them sold for this event so far. In past years, we’ve seen popular dates close to Christmas Eve and the end of the holiday season along with the first night of the event sell out the quickest. However, it took a while before we started to see tickets start to sell out on a party night (which didn’t happen until September 2023.)

But once they started selling, it was only a few days before we started seeing multiple dates sold out for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It seems the holiday bug had bitten us by mid-fall and we just couldn’t hold back our excitement to welcome the holiday season much longer.

As of now, Disney has yet to make any official announcement for any nighttime parties in Disney World beyond Disney After Hours and special Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic events. Our best advice to you is to heed this timeline and use it as a general guideline of when we could expect to see information roll out about these parties and ultimately when we could see tickets start selling for the 2024 season.
