A MAJOR Disneyland Policy Changes TOMORROW

Change is on the horizon at Disneyland. From new attractions, to ride makeovers, to policy changes, the Disneyland Resort is about to look very different, very soon!

Speaking of policy changes, Disneyland is about to undergo a major one. For the last couple of years, guests at Disneyland Resort hotels have been granted Early Entry to the theme parks. Beating the rope drop crowd, this policy has been a major boon for hotel guests to avoid crowds in the morning. However, this perk is about to change beginning TOMORROW!

Early Entry allows hotel guests to CHOOSE to enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure 30 minutes prior to the official opening, but that is about to change. Starting tomorrow, January 20th, 2024,  only one park will have Early Entry each day.

According to Disneyland’s website, “Guests with valid park admission and reservations who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels may take advantage of this 30-minute early entry into a designated theme park for every day of their hotel stay. Each day, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park will be open early.”

Disneyland’s flexibility makes it an attractive destination but it will become a bit more like Disney World in that it will now require slightly more planning. Itineraries will now need to focus on Early Entry and guests not staying at Disney-owned properties should consider the Early Entry days as well. We recommend spending the first half of your day at the theme park WITHOUT Early Entry if the latter applies to you. Early Entry schedules can be viewed online and on the Disneyland app.
