We’re fans of staying at a Disney World hotel. But sometimes a new hotel comes along that REALLY tempts us to ditch Disney property.
An all-new immersive hotel has recently opened in Orlando and it’s making us think twice about our next stay at Disney’s Polynesian Resort or any other Disney hotel. Let’s check it out!
The Villatel (a play on the words villas and hotel) is a one-of-a-kind hotel that offers stays at one of their many villas with hotel-style standards and amenities. It is a recently completed $500 million project on 77 acres inside Orlando, on International Drive.
This new resort is only minutes from Universal Orlando, super close to the upcoming Epic Universe, and down the road from Disney World. But with all the amenities that are set to arrive later this year, we’re not sure we would even want to leave the hotel!
Later this year, there will be a new community clubhouse, grand pool, adventure waterpark with multi-story slides and a lazy river, fitness center, restaurant, and so much more (even popular pickleball courts!).
The entire resort (all amenities and villas) will be completed in 2025. It will have 526 units divided up into 156 apartment-style suites and 270 grand single-family homes. However, the resort is officially open and you can book reservations on their website!
Many of the villas feature cool-themed rooms and even have theater rooms with large, comfy chairs and arcade-style games.
Seriously, it could be hard convincing us to leave this resort after we get there (even if Disney World is only a few minutes away)! If you’re looking for a cozy and comfortable place for your family to stay on your Florida vacation, be sure to check out the Villatel Resort.
