The TRON Lightcycle / Run Rules CHANGED During Magic Kingdom’s After Hours Event

Magic Kingdom’s After Hours events are happening NOW in Disney World, and we are THRILLED!

After Hours in Magic Kingdom

Disney announced that these specially ticketed events will happen throughout the year at EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom. This time, we’re visiting Magic Kingdom to check out the park’s FIRST After Hours event!

BIG NEWS! TRON: Lightcycle Run is using a standby queue during Magic Kingdom After Hours. Yep — say goodbye to that Virtual Queue (at least for a few hours).

SO cool at night

This is the FIRST time we’ve been able to use a standby queue for the new ride. On a normal day, you must either snag a spot in the Virtual Queue or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane to guarantee a ride. But those attending an After Hours at Magic Kingdom can just hop in line instead!

During our visit to Tomorrowland around 10PM (right when the standby line opened to After Hours guests), the line reached a 45-minute wait.

By 11PM, the wait time was down to 35 minutes! Not bad at all — we’ve waited in MUCH longer lines!

Not too bad!

The wait time hovered around 30-45 minutes throughout the night. So — is that standby line worth the price of admission? Let us know your thoughts! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
