Last year, the television series Willow made its debut on Disney+. A follow-up to the 1988 film of the same name, the series stars Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood, an aspiring sorcerer. The show ran for one season before Disney announced its cancellation earlier this year.

As reported by Deadline, British actor Ralph Ineson has now filed a lawsuit against Disney alleging he sustained an injury while filming a scene in Willow that resulted in permanent shoulder damage.

According to reports, Ineson claims to have suffered permanent shoulder damage while filming a night shoot in the UK during the production of the show.

His claim in the London High Court states that, while on set in South Wales in July of 2021, Ineson was dressed as a knight in armor and battling with an ogre called The Scourge when he fell and dislocated his shoulder.

Ineson is now suing the Walt Disney Company for damages of up to £150,000 ($190,500), claiming that his injuries have prevented him taking on physical roles, and that his ability to perform roles involving fighting and horse-riding are now permanently impaired. His suit states that the producers are liable through exerting pressure of filming to deadline, and not cleaning the steps where he fell. Disney’s defence against the claim has not yet been made public.
