A NEW Universal Theme Park Could Be Coming to the UK. Here’s What We Know

Universal fans have a lot to look forward to around the U.S. in the next few years.

Universal Orlando

Universal Kids Resort, a new family-focused theme park, is coming to Texas. A year-round horror destination is in the works in Las Vegas. Universal Orlando is also planning a new Dreamworks expansion that is set to open sometime in 2024. Speaking of Orlando, anticipation over the new Epic Universe theme park has been steadily growing, and we can’t wait to see all of the new lands coming to the park. But now, Universal has a new potential international project up its sleeve, and we just got a major update.

Recently, we shared that Universal had acquired land in the UK for a potential new theme park. Since then, Universal has confirmed the land purchase and created a website for the potential park and resort experience.

According to the website, Universal’s parent company, Comcast Corporation, has acquired the land near Bedford, England — roughly 45 miles outside of London. Although they do own the land, they have clarified that they are still months away from even deciding if they want to proceed with a new theme park.

As it’s still only a potential option, there isn’t a ton of information on what we can expect, but Universal did share a map of the potential development.
