Disney World Shares Important Update on Annual Passholder “Good to Go” Days

Things are changing in Disney World in 2024!

Annual Passholder Cards

One of the big updates coming soon is with Disney Park Passes, which have been around since the parks reopened in 2020. Starting January 9th, Park Pass reservations will no longer be required for those with date-based tickets. People without date-based tickets (like Annual Passholders) will still have to make reservations sometimes…but there’s one big exception.

Starting on January 11th, 2024, Annual Passholders will be able to see “Good to Go” days listed online. “Good to Go” dates allow Annual Passholders to visit any of the four Disney World theme parks WITHOUT a Park Pass reservation. The theme park reservation, Annual Passholder admissions calendar, and app will show dates that are “Good to Go”.

These new dates will be added periodically and could be released days or weeks at a time. You’ll need to keep checking back for availability.

So what happens if you have a Park Pass booked for a specific date, but then Disney makes it a “Good to Go” day? Well, Disney addressed that situation specifically! The details are listed in the Passholder Buzz section of the My Disney Experience app.

More information

According to this news, those who have reservations for dates that become “Good to Go” days will see those Park Passes removed. The Park Pass will no longer count against your maximum hold, but you’ll still be able to view that you previously held a reservation by visiting the “My Plans” section in My Disney Experience.

You can view all your plans!

Well, that satisfies our curiosity! We’ll be on the lookout for these changes starting in January. Keep in mind that Annual Passholders can currently visit parks after 2PM without a reservation, so long as there’s availability (except for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays).
