Could a Drone Show Be Coming to Disney World? We’ve Got a NEW Clue.

One of the BEST things about the Disney Parks is the ENTERTAINMENT. ?

Happily Ever After Fireworks

Yes, the parks are filled with entertainment options — from parades, to shows, to nighttime spectaculars like fireworks. However, Disneyland Paris made HISTORY by being the first Disney Park in the world to successfully incorporate a drone show into the nighttime spectacular. Many folks believe that drones are the future of these nighttime shows, as they’re more economically, environmentally, and sensory-friendly. Well… something happened that has us wondering if a drone show could be coming soon to Disney World.

Dronisos, the French company behind the drone shows that take place at Disneyland Paris (and Dollywood in East Tennessee!) has opened its very first U.S. office in Windermere, Florida, just a few miles away from Disney World.

The drone show for DLP

According to Orlando Inno, Dronisos intends to create over 15 jobs in Orlando over the next five years. This has us so excited, because although other local theme parks have started to incorporate drone shows, no U.S. Disney Park has used them for a nighttime spectacular so far.

Happy 30th, Disneyland Paris!

The drones appear like uniquely-shaped fireworks, but are even MORE exciting because they blink, change color, and change shapes to the beat of the music. Not to mention, there are no loud sounds or debris.

Just imagine what they could do with drones!

However, we do have to mention some rules that could hinder a drone show at Disney World. Currently, the FAA has a no-fly zone over Disney World for drone operators. This includes all airspace up to an altitude of 400 feet and they are not allowed to fly within a three-mile radius of Disney World’s entrance, according to TS2.

It’s possible that this could change, but with the current rules, it’s not likely we’ll see a drone show in Disney World.

So… our fingers are crossed that the new Dronisos office means exciting, new things for Disney World. We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more so that you’re always in the loop!
