Beware: You Can’t Count on the Haunted Mansion in Disney World Right Now

One of the most popular rides in Disney World is the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom.

This classic Disney attraction has it all. It’s a relaxing ride through a haunted house filled with spirits that are both spooky and funny. This attraction will also soon have a NEW spirit roaming its halls in the form of the infamous Hatbox Ghost. However, if you were in Disney World recently and wanted to ride the Haunted Mansion, you may have been out of luck.

On November 9th, 2023, the Haunted Mansion got off to a rough start. For the first few hours after Magic Kingdom opened yesterday, Haunted Mansion was closed. Now, these closures do happen, but when you want to rope drop a ride, it can throw a wrench in your plans. The only thing you can do is go try some other things and keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app to see when the ride reopens.

This can happen with some of the more popular rides, so be sure to have a backup plan in mind if the ride that’s first on your list is closed.
