9 Things We’re Begging You to Stop Doing at Disney World Pools

We know that you’re at Disney World to have a good time.

But there are some things we’ve got to talk about. We’re not accusing you, but please, oh please, for all that is Mickey, we’re begging you to please stop doing these things at Disney World Pools!

Reserving Multiple Lounge Chairs

We’ve all seen it at Disney World’s pools. You know what we’re talking about — those lounge chairs that get “reserved” with towels, bags, and personal items.

But, here’s the thing, we’re all here to relax and enjoy ourselves, and if you go and reserve multiple chairs it can make it really tough for others to find a spot to also soak up the sun and have fun. So, PLEASE, just grab the number of chairs you actually need and let everyone have a fair chance to enjoy the pool too.

Large Inflatables

Listen, who doesn’t love giant inflatables? It sounds like a blast to ride a massive unicorn in the pool, right? But, let’s think about that for a moment. Since they are HUGE, they can take up a lot of space.

Even though the pools at Disney World are large, they aren’t exactly Olympic-sized ones, so if you were to bring in those humongous floaties, the pools can immediately feel like you’re in a tiny pool instead of a relaxing oasis. Plan on leaving those large inflatables at home instead of bringing them with you!

Noisy Music and Phone Calls

Now we all love our favorite tunes, and we do have times where we need to make calls. But imagine trying to relax by the pool and your neighbor on one side decides to have loud music blasting from their phone and someone on your other side starts having a phone call so loudly that you feel you must be part of the conversation.

It’s not exactly the serene atmosphere we all hope for, right?! So, let’s plan on never doing that to our fellow pool-goers. Plan on bringing your headphones so you can go hard on your beats, but keep the peaceful vibes for the other guests.

Smoking in Non-Designated Areas

Disney World is a breath of fresh air, and not just figuratively, because it’s a smoke-free environment. If you’re a smoker, just remember to stick to the designated smoking areas.

Listen, we’re not coming for you if you smoke. This just ensures that the clean air we all cherish isn’t disrupted. It’s a win-win – you get to enjoy your smoke, and everyone else gets to breathe easy.

Clean Up After Yourself

Picture this, you’re all set to take a dip in the pool, and you find empty containers, napkins, and other litter all around. Not exactly inviting, right?

So, here’s a simple rule of thumb –- If you brought it with you, take it with you and toss it in the trash bins around the pool area. It helps keep the tidiness that makes the pool look inviting for everyone.

Pool Safety

I know we’re all there to have fun and enjoy a bit of excitement, but let’s remember that safety comes first.

Pool

Running, rough play, diving into shallow areas, or attempting those daredevil stunts can end up in a lot of scrapes and bruises. Let’s follow the pool rules and be cautious. After all, we’re here for fun, not a trip to the first-aid station.

Feeding Wildlife

We all love those Disney animals we see around the parks and hotels, but let’s not go all Snow White and start feeding them.

Don’t Feed the Animals

It’s not safe for them, and it can mess up the pool vibes. So, let’s appreciate the critters from a distance, and let them enjoy their natural habitat without your snacks.

Sharing the Hot Tub

Taking a dip in the hot tub is like the cherry on top of a Disney World pool day. Just keep in mind that it’s not a solo experience.

Try not to turn it into your personal spa for hours on end. Share the warmth and relaxation with others. It’s all about giving everyone a chance to soak in the magic.

Supervise Your Children

Last up, we know that family time at the pool is fantastic, but we need to make sure it’s safe for the little ones.

Keep an eye on your kids, whether they’re splashing around in the pool or hanging by the water’s edge. As you know, just a second of inattention can lead to accidents, and that’s not the kind of thing we want to happen. So, keep watch and make sure everyone’s having a fun and safe time!

Ultimately, it all boils down to being considerate of others who are just trying to enjoy the same experiences you are, so keep that in mind on your next Disney World trip — and stay tuned to AllEars for more tips!

  1. Also, when you’ve finished with the pool, throw your towel into the dirty towels bin rather than leaving it on the sun lounger. It makes it look as if that chair is still taken.
