NEW Disney World Permits Could Mean More EPCOT Updates on the Way

Visiting Disney World is complicated these days.

You have to snag park pass reservations (but not for much longer!), grab that hard-to-get dining reservation, and depending on what your plans are, you might run into quite a bit of construction on your trip. And, it doesn’t seem like Disney is slowing down on new projects either!

We’re taking a look at some recently filed permits that could clue us into what’s in store around Disney World.

We found a handful of interesting permits that were recently filed by Disney, and the first two are in none other than EPCOT! We know, we know. It’s not shocking that we’d find some construction here, but these permits don’t appear to be part of the massive transformation. The first one is for general construction over at The Seas with Nemo and Friends…

…and the other is to install some new planters at the front gate of the park. Hopefully, neither of these projects will take too long or mean downtime for any particular experiences, but we’ll let you know if that changes.

It’s not just EPCOT with interesting permits this time around. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will be getting some new automatic doors installed soon, and a permit was filed to install the electricity for that work. This likely won’t interfere with any stays at this resort, but it’s something to keep in mind.

And, over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we spotted a new permit for work being done inside the main hotel building. The description is listed as “general construction,” which ultimately could mean anything. We’ll be keeping an eye out for anything that could impact your stay!
