3 New Disney World Ride Line Trends We’ve Just Noticed

Disney World is constantly changing.

Expedition Everest

We know that many places will soon look totally different in Disney World, and a big change has recently hit Disney World dining reservations. But those aren’t the only changes we’ve noticed — if you’re preparing to wait in line to ride as many attractions as you can, these are the recent ride trends we’ve noticed that you need to know.

Fantasyland Crowds

We’ve found that the best times to ride the attractions in Fantasyland, one of the busiest parts of the park, is at one of two times.

The first is in the afternoon, during and right after lunch. This is often when many parents with kids have put them down for a nap, or are taking a break from the rides to eat.

Wait times may not drop immensely, but if you can save 20 minutes in line for Peter Pan’s Flight, we suggest taking it!

Dinosaur

Since Disney’s announcement that DinoLand U.S.A. is being reimagined in the near future, very likely meaning that Dinosaur will turn into Indiana Jones, we’ve noticed that wait times for Dinosaur have gone up.

Usually, this ride doesn’t see wait times longer than 15-20 minutes on a busy day.

We’ve started to see these wait times increase, and it likely will increase more when Disney eventually announces the official closing date of the ride. So be ready to wait longer than usual the next time you visit.

Soarin’

Disney also announced that Soarin’ Over California would be returning to EPCOT for a limited time. As you can imagine, wait times have soared (pun very much intended).

Soarin’ Over California

We have recently seen wait times as high as 75 minutes. Usually, this ride sees wait times around 20-35 minutes, so this is quite the increase.

There is no end date for this version of the ride, but it’s to celebrate Disney’s 100th Anniversary, and those celebrations end at the end of the year.
