We’ve Got a Mysterious UPDATE About Disney’s Upcoming ‘Frozen 3’ Sequel

Did you know that a third Frozen film is on the way?

This news was announced back in February 2023, and we’ve heard commentary from the surprised composers as well as Josh Gad, who plays Olaf. Now, we have a new cryptic update about the film.

Jennifer Lee is the Chief Creative Officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios, but she’s also directing the third Frozen film. While she hasn’t said much about the film, we do know that the film is currently in pre-production.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Jennifer Lee said, “The only thing I can say is Bob has announced there’s more Frozen. And I’ll say what we are working on, I am very, very, very excited about. That’s all I can say.” By the way, she’s referring to Disney CEO Bob Iger, who broke the news during an earnings call earlier this year.

Very vague, Disney, very vague! Regardless, we’re excited to see what’s in the works when more can be revealed. We’re also eagerly awaiting the opening of Disney’s various Frozen lands coming to Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo DisneySea.
