The BEST Time To Ride Disney World’s Rise of the Resistance Isn’t When You Think

There are some rides in Disney World that will almost ALWAYS have long lines — we’re talking waits of up to an hour and longer.

These rides include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom, Frozen Ever After in EPCOT, Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, if you’re paying attention, there’s a time to ride Rise of the Resistance with shorter waits!

Now, you might think that time is at rope drop, but because everyone seems to think that, the line can be long even at park open.  So we took a peek at yesterday’s wait times in Disney World and noticed something interesting about Rise of the Resistance’s wait times.

Starting at 4PM, wait times for Rise of the Resistance started to go down! At 4PM, the wait was only 35 minutes. At 5PM, that wait dropped to 30 minutes. Then the ride closed, which meant a longer wait when it reopened, but at 9PM, the wait was only 15 minutes. So it seems that right before dinner time or at the end of the day is the best time to ride.

The key here is to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app and check those wait times often. That will keep you updated on when those waits drop and clue you in on when you should get in that standby line.
