I’ve Been Going to Disney World for Over 30 Years and I Just Noticed THIS

Walking through Disney World as a first-time visitor is one of the most captivating moments we hope to experience, and when you come to the parks as often as we do, sometimes that feeling can lose a bit of its intensity.

Magic Kingdom

It’s so easy to get caught up in everything there is to do and see around Magic Kingdom that sometimes things catch your eye more easily. However, when you can stop, stand still for just a moment, and afford the time to really have a good thorough look around, you might find something there that surprises even the most experienced Disney-goer.

On a recent trip out to Magic Kingdom though, we noticed something that we’d never taken note of before and it proved that you can go the parks hundreds of times and still see new things!

Something magical about Fantasyland

These may have gone unnoticed by you for a while too because it’s not something you’re going to spot at eye level when you’re walking by, but if you find yourself walking around in Fantasyland and you’re willing to tilt your head towards the clouds (and maybe squint a little because of the bright sun), you might be able to catch them too.

Fantasyland

Up above the rooftop of Peter Pan’s Flight, we happened to take notice of not one but two additions that were new to us. There’s a gleaming Tik Tock Croc

…and a metal Jolly Roger pirate ship sitting on the rooftop.

The Jolly Roger

They seem to be weathervanes with a directional compass pointing just under each metal figure. From the looks of them, they appear to be weathered so it’s hard to tell exactly how long these have been up there but it’s neat to know that even the most experienced of us who come to the Disney parks almost every day are able to spot something brand new — to us– every once in awhile.

  1. Do you know When? And Why? They removed the talking water fountains In Epcot on the walkway to The World Showcase? That used to be one of our families FAVORITE surprise features!
