There are over 200 places to grab food from in Disney World.

Some of the restaurants we love, some…not so much. There is a variety of food choices and themes you could choose from. You could grab a quick bite at a quick-service restaurant or eat a 3-course meal all at Disney World.
However, we have a few restaurants that we might be skipping in 2024 and we have reasons why you should too. Let’s get into it.
Trattoria al Forno
Hear us out, we have enjoyed our meals at Trattoria al Forno. The restaurant showcases classic Italian cuisine including handcrafted mozzarella made daily, fresh cavatelli pasta, and pizzas baked in wood-burning ovens. We might be skipping it, but it’s not necessarily Trattoria’s fault.

The Cake Bake Shop is set to open in 2023 and will offer a sweet menu, a savory menu, afternoon tea service, a table-service option, and the ability to get items to-go from the bakery.

It also happens to be located on the BoardWalk right near Trattoria. For that reason, we’ll be heading here to check out this new restaurant instead.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
At Magic Kingdom, there are a few different quick-service restaurants to choose from. In Tomorrowland, you’ll find Cosmic Ray’s which serves sandwiches and burgers.

Our readers have it rated at a 6.89 and we feel like this is fair. If we want a normal chicken sandwich or burger, we know we can head here. But we actually think snacking in Magic Kingdom is a better option. Head to the spring roll cart or grab a snack from Sleepy Hollow.

Lotus Blossom Cafe
In EPCOT, there are so many food options. However, Lotus Blossom Cafe is a skip for us. This is coming from our readers who have only given Lotus Blossom Cafe a 6.55 rating. We think this is likely compared to your local quick-service Chinese restaurant.

Nothing has won our hearts over here. We recommend hitting up the China booth during a festival if there is one currently happening during your vacation. We have had better luck here.

Hollywood & Vine
Found in Hollywood Studios, this character dining buffet is just okay. It’s not the best table service restaurant in Hollywood Studios. The food is typical buffet food, which can be a hit or miss.

It does offer fun, seasonal dining with Minnie Mouse and her pals. However, there are better character dining options nearby like Topolino’s Terrace. We say it’s worth heading there instead of here.

Restaurantosaurus
When you’re in Animal Kingdom, you can find really delicious food all around you. However, at Restaurantosaurus, you might be underwhelmed by the menu. With offerings of hot dogs and cheeseburgers, you won’t feel very adventurous here.

While it does offer plenty of indoor seating, there are a lot of other great choices out there. If you are looking for a quick service restaurant, head to Satu’li Canteen or Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes for some unique dishes.

California Grill
While we enjoy the fireworks views here, there has been a change at this restaurant in 2023 that we aren’t thrilled over. During the 50th Anniversary, California Grill used a prix fixe menu and once the anniversary was over in April, we hoped the traditional menu would return. However, a new prix fixe menu was introduced.

This can be pricey at $89 per adult and $39 per child. You also might not be hungry enough to eat 3 courses after a long park day. For that reason, you might want to skip this one.

What Disney World restaurant will you be skipping in 2024? Let us know below in the comments.
Dining in Disney World is very subjective. I think a lot of tourists enjoy the restaurant theme more than the food and service. Reviews? People are more apt to complain about a restaurant than compliment. Oh course, people want more for their money since they are paying a lot to go to Disney World. I always ask this question. If this DW restaurant was 15 minutes from our house, would I be a regular? I have to admit, very few DW restaurants get a “yes.”
