Since CEO Bob Iger returned in November 2022, the company has seen a big restructuring. These changes have impacted many aspects of Disney, but especially its streaming service, Disney+.

Part of these plans is to cancel and remove shows from their streaming platform, Disney+. We’ve been seeing this happening with The Spiderwick Chronicles and Doogie Kamealoha, MD most recently being removed. Now, they have canceled another series that was supposed to be joining the service.

Nautilus, an origin story on Captain Nemo, was supposed to be coming to Disney+. It had even already been shot. But according to Deadline, it has now been canceled from the streaming service.

The show was a 10-part live-action series that Disney had acquired two years ago. But now, due to what is most likely the cost-cutting plans, Disney will no longer be bringing it to Disney+.

Since the series has already been shot, Disney and the show’s producers are working to find it a new home, according to Deadline.
