Each ride is unique but some stand out above the rest.
Whether it’s because of incredible technology like Rise of the Resistance or lovable animatronics like Figment or the Shaman of Songs, there is something new to enjoy in almost every attraction. However, this week, one ride is standing out in Disney World…but for all the wrong reasons.
Each week we look at the average wait times in Disney World and we noticed that Tower of Terror saw a significant increase. On top of that, Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash posted very high waits. Take a look at all the wait times in the parks from last week and see for yourself how busy the parks are this summer.
Magic Kingdom
After one round of increasing, wait times have continued to climb at most Magic Kingdom attractions. The most popular ride in the park is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which went from an 83-minute average to an 88-minute average this week.
Here are the average weekly wait times for each ride below, from shortest to longest wait times.
- Country Bear Jamboree: 0 minutes
- Tom Sawyer Island: 1 minute
- Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse: 5 minutes
- Carousel of Progress: 5 minutes
- Liberty Square Riverboat: 6 minutes
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel: 9 minutes
- Mad Tea Party: 11 minutes
- Enchanted Tiki Room: 12 minutes
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover: 14 minutes
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic: 15 minutes
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant: 17 minutes
- Magic Carpets of Aladdin: 18 minutes
- Hall of Presidents: 19 minutes
- Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid: 19 minutes
- Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini: 20 minutes
- Tomorrowland Speedway: 24 minutes
- it’s a small world: 25 minutes
- Enchanted Tales with Belle: 31 minutes
- Pirates of the Caribbean: 32 minutes
- Astro Orbiter: 33 minutes
- Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: 33 minutes
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin: 41 minutes
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: 41 minutes
- Haunted Mansion: 44 minutes
- Jungle Cruise: 50 minutes
- Space Mountain: 64 minutes
- Peter Pan’s Flight: 69 minutes
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: 88 minutes
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
As we mentioned above, Tower of Terror saw a major jump in wait times this week. The spooky attraction went from a 58-minute average to a 72-minute average — that’s the biggest increase at ANY ride in Disney World this week! Slinky Dog Dash is still the longest time in the park with an average wait time of 90 minutes.

EPCOT
The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival kicked off this week in Disney World, so how did that impact the wait times? While most of these times were collected before the festival began, the wait times still increased at several attractions.

- Mission: SPACE: 21 minutes
- Soarin’: 33 minutes
- Frozen Ever After: 59 minutes
- Test Track: 60 minutes
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: 61 minutes
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Although wait times are calm at most attractions in Animal Kingdom, the park is actually home to the longest wait time in ALL of Disney World. The ride broke the 100-minute barrier with a 104-minute average wait time this week.

- TriceraTop Spin: 8 minutes
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug: 10 minutes
- Kilimanjaro Safaris: 33 minutes

- Expedition Everest: 35 minutes
- Kali River Rapids: 45 minutes
- Na’vi River Journey: 68 minutes
- Avatar Flight of Passage: 104 minutes

We absolutely LOVE Hollywood Studios. We always ride Slinky Dog first if possible – but last trip we bought the Genie Plus and secured a Slinky Lightning Lane for late morning. We rode several attractions with minimal wait times by doing rope drop and avoiding Slinky (and Rise of the Resistance) early morning.
