Why You Should Definitely Eat at This Underrated Disney World Restaurant

If you love food, one of the biggest decisions you might make at Disney World is where to eat.

‘Ohana food

That’s because Disney World has over 200 restaurants, and picking the few you want to dine at could be overwhelming. Sure, there are the fan favorites like Cinderella’s Royal Table, ‘Ohana, and Le Cellier, but what about those restaurants you haven’t really heard much about, but should? We’re going to tell you ALL about the most underrated restaurant in Disney World.

You won’t find this restaurant in any of the parks, though, or at Disney Springs. Instead, you’ll need to travel to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The restaurant in question is Three Bridges Bar and Grill, located on its own little island in the middle of the resort’s lake, Lago Dorado. It gets its name from the three bridges you can use to access the restaurant from various parts of Coronado Springs.

Three Bridges

This is a casual restaurant that serves Mexican-inspired food like Guacamole, Tacos, and Churros, although more international fare is also available like Poke Bowls, a Signature Burger, Coconut-Curry Chicken (one of our fave entrees here), and more.  You can also order up specialty cocktails (like the Spanish Margarita) and sangria by the pitcher.

The views here are a real highlight of the restaurant because it sits on the water. If you want great patio dining, this is it. But back to the food, the Guacamole here is some of the best we’ve ever had, but we would never say “no” to the Pan con Tomate (Toasted Bread, Crushed Tomato, Garlic, and Olive Oil).

So what if you don’t want to make the trek out to Coronado Springs? Well, we do have some runner-ups on our list of underrated restaurants in Disney World. First up is Bar Riva at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Yeah, this is basically a pool bar, but its hidden secret is that the food here is amazing.

You can order European and Mediterranean-inspired fare like Baked Brie
Topped with Confit Tomatoes served with Crostini, Salmon with Orzo
, and more. You’ll also find a good selection of cocktails, beers, and wines here.

Another of our favorites that is severely underrated is Geyser Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. You’ll find both table service and counter service here, so you can dine in whichever environment you prefer. This is also the home of the Bison Cheeseburger, which is always a home run with us.

Finally, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention at least ONE restaurant in the parks. Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom is a longtime favorite of ours, and still, we don’t think many people have discovered it. First, the setting cannot be beaten — it’s themed to the Jungle Cruise (complete with puns from your servers).

The food here, though, is the most surprising thing. We will say it’s not for picky eaters, but if you want to try something more adventurous (say like the famed Jungle Cruise itself), Skipper Canteen is a must-try restaurant. Here’s where you can get a WHOLE fried fish or enjoy the Skipper Dan’s Dan Dan Noodles.

So if you have some time and the inclination during your next Disney World trip, add these restaurants to your list. The good news is that not everyone knows how great they are just yet, so getting advance dining reservations is usually easy.
