If I Had Only Had $5 to Spend in Disney World, Here’s What I’d Buy First.

We won’t lie to you — Disney World can be EXPENSIVE.

Magic Kingdom

You probably know that if you’ve ever planned a vacation to the theme park giant. From hotels to park tickets, souvenirs, and food, nearly everything is a little bit pricier than you’re probably used to. But there are still some things that you can get for cheap! And today we’re telling you what we’d buy if we only had $5 in Disney World.

Les Halles Baguette — $3.95

One of the BEST uses of $5 can be found at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in EPCOT. There, you can buy an ENTIRE baguette for just $3.95!

Les Halles

Yep, that’s right! You can buy a LOAF of bread as a snack in Disney World. It doesn’t get much better than that, folks.

Multiple Cups of Plastic Cheese — $1 each

At several restaurants around Disney World property, you’ll find cups of what we lovingly call “plastic cheese.” This warm cheese sauce is perfect for dipping — whether it’s fries, corn dog nuggets, or some other yummy treat.

Plastic Cheese

You can find it on Mobile Order at several quick service restaurants, and adding a cup of it is typically just $1. That means that with $5, you could have SO much plastic cheese! Think of the possibilities!

Joffrey’s Coffee — $3.69

If you need a little pick-me-up, a cup of the Walt Disney World Resort Blend Coffee is just $3.69. You can find this coffee at Joffrey’s locations all around the parks — each park has at least one Joffrey’s spot.

And let’s be honest, with those long days in the parks, it’s going to be a struggle to make it from rope drop to park close without some caffeine! It’s a wise investment.

Pressed Pennies — $3 for 3 pennies

The one souvenir on our list comes to you courtesy of the many pressed penny machines around the Disney World parks. You’ll find these in a variety of random locations, and some of them have some really unique characters and designs!

You can usually get one coin for $1 or 3 coins for $3 — that’s one of Disney World’s cheapest souvenirs! And if you’re visiting during Disney’s 100th Anniversary, be on the lookout for the special anniversary designs.

Pongu Lumpia — $3.79

One controversial snack that you can buy with $5 is the Pongu Lumpia in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can find this one at Pongu Pongu in Pandora and it’s essentially a spring roll filled with pineapple and cream cheese.

Pongu Lumpia

People either tend to love or hate this, but if you do happen to love it, it can be a pretty good deal! You’ll find it on both the breakfast and snack menus.

Werther’s Caramel Treats — $4.99

If you’re heading to either Karamell-Kuche in EPCOT or Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Animal Kingdom, you’ll find a number of treats on the menu made with Werther’s Caramel. And many of these treats are priced under $5!

Werther’s Butter Bar

Some of those options include the Werther’s Caramel Butter Bar, the Caramel Cookie Dough Cup, the Caramel Pecan Cluster, and the Caramel Snack Bar. You can also buy individual caramel squares at Karamell-Kuche for $4.49 — a worthy (and delicious) way to spend some cash!

School Bread

Another controversial treat that we’re adding to this list can be found at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in EPCOT! School Bread is a Norwegian icon, but the sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut is not for everyone. If you’re a fan, though, you can get one roll for $4.49.

School Bread

If you’re not a School Bread fan, there are plenty of additional cheaper treats on the menu at Kringla for you to enjoy. Rice Cream is $3.99, Lefse is $3.29, the Verden’s Beste Kake is $4.59, and the Eplekake is $4.79.

Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie — $3.49

And our last pick comes from Golden Oak Outpost — there you can buy a Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie for $3.49. And you guys, it is DELICIOUS!

Golden Oak Outpost

This particular cookie reminds us a lot of a large Nestle Tollhouse cookie, and it was warm, gooey, and filled with chocolate. If you’re looking for a cheap snack, it’s a good contender!

So those are some of the first things we’d buy if we only had $5 to spend in Disney World! What would your choice be? Tell us in the comments! And stay tuned to AllEars for more tips and advice for your Disney World vacation.
