Super Embarrassing Disasters That Happen in Disney World Every. Single. Day.

Disney World is where the magic happens.

Cinderella Castle

It’s also occasionally where embarrassing situations happen. When you combine sweat, food, nature, and a bunch of people together at once, embarrassing things are bound to occur. There are some embarrassing situations that happen every single day at Disney World — we see them with our own eyes. However, some of them are totally avoidable! Let’s talk about it!

So, most of these situations are super preventable. We’ve embarrassed ourselves so many times in the past (and still do, sometimes), so we’ve learned a thing or two about a thing or two. Without further ado, let’s talk about some embarrassing situations and how to avoid them.

The Weird Chaffing Penguin Walk Thing

We’ve all been there. The afternoon chafe sets in and then we’re waddling with legs spread wide open all over Disney World. Chaffing is totally normal and nothing to be embarrassed about. The penguin walk? Well, you might get some strange looks. We like to use a chaffing cream or balm to avoid this — no matter what clothes we’re wearing. Happy Curves (or Happy Nuts) tend to work really well for us.

What we love about Happy Curves is that it goes on like a cream but dries as a powder so that you’re not all sticky and slimy. It also prevents odor, too!

Leaving Sweaty Butt Stains Everywhere

So, this one goes out to all the ladies who have gone into the parks in a skirt or dress without wearing shorts underneath. And then you sit down on the sidewalk for a parade. And when you get up, there’s an imprint of your butt right on the ground because you were sweating THAT MUCH.

This is totally avoidable, y’all. Get some slip shorts or nude biker shorts! They do a pretty good job of catching that sweat without clinging onto it. Oh, and trust us, you’ll want these for when you ride Space Mountain. Emphasis on trust us.

Succumbing To Dehydration… Or Your Margarita

We don’t care if you’re used to the heat from working or playing sports outside. You need to hydrate extra at Disney World. Everyday, we see Disney visitors pass out due to dehydration — whether it be a small child or a grown adult. Plus, alcohol consumption has a tendency to make this worse, so the dehydration can make you feel bad after a single drink. (Or, it could have you taking dips in the EPCOT fountains. Don’t get any ideas, folks!) We recommend hydration multipliers!

LiquidIV is so easy to just toss in your bag and add it to your bottle or water that you get with your lunch. It helps a ton — and could save you from passing out OR having too good of a time after that marg. (Or throwing up. Please don’t throw up. Because when we see that, it makes us wanna throw up, too. And that’s not pretty.)

Transforming Into a Lobster

We see this one every day. Someone swears they don’t need sunscreen. And then. They leave the park with those bright red, swollen, puffy, full-body sunburns that we just know are going to blister and we’re silently wondering if maybe they should go to the ER or something. Y’all, wear sunscreen!

We like Sun Bum because it smells good and isn’t sticky. Your skin will thank you in 20 years, and it’ll also thank you later on in the hotel room when you’re actually able to shower and sleep through the night.

Bonus: Peeing Your Pants

We get it. Accidents happen. If you take the really good advice and stay hydrated, you’ll find that you need the bathroom more frequently. This means that before and after each ride, you probably need to make a run to the toilet. Please don’t join a long line for a long ride and expect to not be bursting at the seams.

Restrooms

We’ve witnessed way too many grown adults have accidents and this is an embarrassment we don’t wish upon anyone. (We’ve got some moms on the team who pee when we sneeze, so we totally get it. No shame.) Moral of the story: take more bathroom breaks than you think you need.

Well folks, there you have it. These embarrassing scenarios are totally avoidable, and we hope that you feel a bit more prepared after learning from our mistakes. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with any and all Disney news and tips, so make sure to follow along for more.
