The 2 BEST Things to Eat in Disney Springs Right Now

The Flavors of Florida Festival has kicked off at Disney Springs.

Flavors of Florida

This event includes NEW menu items at Disney Springs restaurants which focus on Florida-grown items. It also includes culinary demonstrations by chefs of restaurants at Disney Springs. The event runs until August 13th.

We tried over 10 of the new items at Disney Springs for the event and we’re here to talk about them. We’re also going to give you our top 2 favorites from the festival. Let’s get into it.

Flavors of Florida

Orange Cream Float — Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar

Orange Cream Float

This float is a mix of Coca-Cola, vanilla ice cream, and an orange cream bar presented in a novelty cup you can take home for $12. This drink reminded us of our childhood and the float was good, but be quick because it melts fast.

Frozen Orange Daiquiri — Dockside Margaritas

Frozen Orange Daiquiri

The Frozen Orange Daiquiri is made with Siesta Key Silver rum, Cointreau liqueur, orange juice, and vanilla ice cream garnished with an orange wedge. It can be yours for $16.50. It tasted just like a creamsicle margarita — but thick.

Key Lime Chocolate Chip Cookie — Gideon’s Bakehouse

Key Lime Cookie

This Gideon’s cookie is made with vanilla bean cookie dough infused with Florida Key lime juice and blanketed with premium chocolate chips and special Key lime pie crumbs. Grab one for $6. We loved the flavors but the chocolate made it melt really fast.

Orange Mocha Nitro Cold Brew — Gideon’s Bakehouse

Orange Mocha Cold Brew

This is dessert coffee made with locally roasted beans, maple syrup, rich dark chocolate, and delicious Florida oranges for $6. If you love the flavor combination of chocolate and orange, you’ll likely really enjoy this! But be warned, it is very sweet.

Buzzin Honey Latte — Joffrey’s

Buzzin Honey Latte

The new latte is a buzzing combo of espresso, milk, honey, and vanilla syrup topped with cold foam and a special character. It can be yours for $6.49. We did enjoy it, but it wasn’t our favorite.

Key West Pink Shrimp Ceviche — Polite Pig

Shrimp Ceviche

We tried the Key West Pink Shrimp Ceviche, which is made with shrimp, smoked melon, shishito peppers, and local tomato vinaigrette with a drizzle of hot honey. It’ll cost you $20. It is packed with flavor and is very fresh. We really enjoyed this one.

Exquisito Guanabana Stracciatella — Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw

This unique ice cream flavor is tropical guanabana sherbet swirled with ribbons of dark chocolate Stracciatella with a floral undertone. It’ll cost you $7.25 for a single scoop in a cup. This one was pretty basic for us and mostly tasted like vanilla ice cream.

Orange Creamsicle Churro — Sunshine Churros

Sunshine Churros

Our next treat was a churro rolled in orange sugar, topped with cream cheese frosting, and a sprinkle of orange and white toppings. It costs $7.95. This was also pretty basic for us and didn’t taste like anything too unique.

Orange Bird Sundae — Swirls on the Water

Orange Bird Sundae

Alright, this one did not make our top 2 but it is an honorable mention and a very close third. This is made with DOLE Whip Orange in a vanilla waffle bowl with whipped cream, green sprinkles, and an Orange Bird chocolate decoration. It only costs $6.49! It was light and tart and we loved it.

Now for our top two choices…

Pizza Diavola — Pizza Ponte

Pizza Ponte

This pizza is made with Salame Calabrese and chili with local Orlando petal honey. It’ll cost you $8.75. It’s a large portion and was a nice break from all of the sweet items.

Orange Cream Puff — Amorette’s Patisserie

Orange Cream Puff

This is a choux pastry with orange craquelin filled with orange curd and honey orange gel for $8. We loved the flavors and textures of this one and we’re still talking about it.
