Disney World has been hit with a number of store closures over the past few months.

Melissa Clube, the UGG Store, and Sosa Family Cigar Co. have all closed in Disney Springs, plus we saw a gift shop close at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts. But now something strange has happened at another store in Disney Springs.
Disney Springs is home to a store called Tren-D. The store is usually filled with Disney-themed apparel and accessories that often includes ear headbands, t-shirts, and more.

But, when we walked past it on June 29th, 2023, it was NOT open for guests to experience.

A sign on the door noted that “something new is coming soon.” So what exactly is happening here? Well, Disney hasn’t released details yet.
We spoke with one Cast Member that told us the location has closed and something new is set to come to the space (as the sign indicates). But, it is possible that this won’t be the case and the closure may just be temporary.

The Tren-D website still appears active online and does list store hours for the coming weeks, so that could be an indication that the store will be sticking around but may just be getting some changes or updates soon.

We’ll be sure to keep a close eye on the shop and see what happens!
UPDATE: On July 1st, the Tren-D shop reopened. We have a full tour of the new store with a look at the changes — check it out here!
