A Huge Part of EPCOT Is MISSING and All That’s Left Is Some DIRT

EPCOT is in the middle of a huge transformation, which you probably noticed if you’ve visited the park in the past few years. Between the upcoming Journey of Water Inspired by Moana walkthrough attraction and the new CommuniCore Hall addition, the park is in for some major changes.

During a recent visit to EPCOT, we noticed some big construction progress. And no, we’re not talking about the recent restroom announcement this time.

Over by the walkway near the Imagination Pavilion, take a look at this large clearing. The area is completely leveled and just waiting for new construction!

Look at all that DIRT!

In the past, this little area was home to a small playground and some seasonal festival food booths. As you can see, the area looks like it’s just waiting for new structures. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for more progress!

We can’t wait to see the finished project!

Nearby, Disney just opened up some new bathrooms — and they’ve got a nice clean new look! You can find this restroom near The Land Pavilion.

While we wait for more construction updates, we can keep daydreaming about the new attractions and buildings coming soon to EPCOT. Thanks to our birds-eye view of EPCOT, we can already see a preview of the Journey of Water area. Look at all those leafy plants and shaded areas!
