We have some good news for those visiting Disney World soon!
Back in early June, a problem popped up with those Disney World hotels offering boat access to Disney Springs. Though a few hotels usually offer FREE boat transportation to Disney Springs, that transportation option was temporarily unavailable due to a lack of rain and some issues with water levels. At that time, there was no estimate on when things would be up and running again but now we’ve got an update…
…the boats are BACK!
During a recent trip to Disney Springs, we saw that the boat service had returned, so it seems the issues that were impacting it before have been resolved.
Below is a list of the hotels that once again offer free boat transportation to Disney Springs:
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Treehouses
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside

You can hop on one of these and enjoy a leisurely ride to/from Disney Springs and the hotels listed. It’s a relaxing way to travel around and can be quite convenient for those seeking something different than the standard Disney bus.
So if you’re staying at one of these hotels soon, be aware that this transportation open is once again available to you. But note that issues like what we saw in early June can and do happen, so there is a possibility that the service could be impacted again in the future.

What I would really like to see is full boat service returning to link together all the Bay Lake resorts. Ie., to travel by boat between the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness resorts. Any news about that??
