There are a few rides at Disney World that we can pretty much always expect to be a walk-on. Just to name a few, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros, Mad Tea Party, and Living With the Land seemingly always have a relatively short wait.
On the other hand, there are Disney World rides that almost always have a LONG wait that’s so long, a lot of folks will purchase a Lightning Lane or Genie+ in order to avoid standing in it. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Avatar: Flight of Passage are just a few of those. However, sometimes wait times surprise us and have us questioning what reality we’re currently in. That happened to us yesterday with a fan-favorite attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
On June 18th, 2023, the wait time for Twilight Zone Tower of Terror peaked at 45 minutes. This is a pretty big deal, considering that 45 minutes is often at the lower end of wait times for the ride. Yesterday, however, the ride averaged a wait of 25-30 minutes.
After we noticed the low waits at Tower of Terror, we noticed that the majority of wait times elsewhere were… more bearable than usual? We typically expect higher wait times in early summer — as the temperatures haven’t hit their seasonal peaks quite yet and schools have just been released for summer vacation — and many Disney fans flock to the park.
