2 Long-Term Closures Will Continue in Disney World This Week

Almost every morning in Disney World, there are a couple of attractions that temporarily close as they experience technical difficulties or other problems. Those rides typically reopen within a few hours (if not sooner). Other times, there are attractions that have to shut down for a few weeks in order for Disney to have time to update and refurbish them. But once in a while, an attraction will close for a LONG refurbishment, generally as BIG changes are made.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Right now, there are not one but TWO long-term closures in Disney World, and both are going to continue for all of this week (June 18th through the 24th).

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, and it’ll remain closed until late 2024.

Work being done on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. On a recent trip, we spotted a crane working on the top of this ride. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates.
