You Can Only Bring Three Things To Disney World, What Are They?

We get it — Disney World during the summer can be miserable.

Magic Kingdom

Long wait times, crowded areas, and the ever present Florida heat can really take the magic out of you when visiting the parks during the summer. When we asked you, our AllEars readers about what you’d bring, you had some great suggestions.

We get it. Summer can be miserably hot and humid in Florida, so we wanted to know what things you use to make those Disney days more bearable. We headed to our Facebook page to asked a very important question —

If you could only bring three things with you to survive a summer day in Disney World, what would they be?

And you definitely delivered some great suggestions. Let’s have a look at the top three:

Refillable Water Bottle

By far, the top item suggested was a refillable water bottle. With all of the refilling stations throughout the parks, this is a great thing to bring with you to stay hydrated.

Good Shoes

Listen, you’re going to be on your feet all the time. You can easily walk 5-10 miles per day at any of the four Disney World parks, so a good pair of shoes will definitely give your feet the support you need for all that walking you’ll do.

Sunscreen

This is an absolute must! Almost everyone included some variation of sunscreen in their comments. And there are plenty of places to get some around the parks and hotels should you need to restock.

Disney World Essentials

We know we said just three, but there were several honorable mentions that we wanted to mention.

The 10 Things That Help Me Survive Disney World Heat

Honorable mentions: Chapstick with SPF, Hat,  Poncho

First up was chapstick with SPF. We can’t forget to protect the lips right along with the rest of the face when using sunscreen.

Mickey Lip Balm

Wide-brimmed hats are great for cutting down on all the extra sun.

Let’s not forget that Florida is known for those afternoon showers, so make sure to be prepared with a poncho.

To close these suggestions out, there were several that just had us laughing.

Most unique (funniest): Patience, Sense of Humor, Money

You’d be surprised how many times you will need to exercise your patience when trying to navigate those crowded areas and long wait queues.

Patience, everyone

Connected with that, sometimes you just need to pack along your sense of humor. We promise, it’ll help to make a less than ideal situation better.

And finally, money. Yes, all those churros and souvenirs will start adding up.
