Disney’s ‘Hocus Pocus 3’ Has Found Its Director!

We’ll admit we were ready to run amuck, amuck, amuck when we learned that Disney confirmed it was working on Hocus Pocus 3.

Like us, other Hocus Pocus fans were super excited we got Hocus Pocus 2, which premiered on Disney+ in 2022. So now, we all have THRICE the excitement of knowing that a third movie is on the way.

Hocus Pocus 2 ended up setting a record for Disney+ by becoming the most-watched premiere of any movie on the streaming service in the U.S. to date. With that kind of success, we get why Hocus Pocus 3 has been confirmed. Well, now we’ve got another big Hocus Pocus 3 update — the movie has found its director.

According to The Wrap, Anne Fletcher, who directed Hocus Pocus 2, will return to direct the third film, along with Hocus Pocus 2 writer Jen D’Angelo.

At this point, though, it is unclear if Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will return to reprise their roles as the Sanderson Sisters in the third movie. However, when asked about the possibility of movies past the second one, Najimy was hesitant. “I feel like we’re done,” she said. We’ve pulled every story you could pull out of this. I guess, never say never, but I feel grateful that we got to do it again.”

If there was a third one, of course I’d sign on, but I don’t know how.”
