It’s Disney’s Pop Century Resort! This value resort at Disney World is a fan-favorite for our readers, and we took to Facebook to ask them to share with us a few things that they loved about the resort and its amenities. With over 2,800 rooms and theming that takes you through five iconic decades, this resort boasts an equally impressive fan club. People feel passionately about it! Today, we’re going to talk about the things that make this resort special.
This post is dedicated to the top 4 reasons our readers gave us as to why they choose to visit this resort again and again. Without further ado, let’s visit this ‘blast from the past’ resort!
1. Skyliner Access
It’s Disney’s very own highway in the sky! Actually, it’s just a gondola system — but it is pretty cool. It’s simple, breezy, and allows for a pretty amazing view of Disney World property.
It makes stops at a few lucky resorts, and Pop Century is one of them! It shares a station with Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The Skyliner can take you from Pop Century to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a few other Disney World resort hotels like Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
2. Theming
As mentioned, Pop Century has rooms themed to the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. It can feel truly nostalgic to tons of visitors! Outside, you’ll see larger than life sculptures themed from fan-favorite Disney movies, as well as themed pools to match certain decades.
There are even themed playgrounds, a fitness room, and a food court! Speaking of which, that brings us to the next thing that our readers love about this resort. The FOOD!
3. The Food Court
The Everything POP! Food Court allows guests to receive quick service meals right at the resort! While you’re walking to or from the bus or Skyliner, you can snag either grab-and-go cold options or a hot meal.
There are also plenty of snacks available here as well. While a lot of the food at value resorts can be pretty… dissatisfying.. our readers really seem to love the food here.
4. Price Point
For the theming, quiet and comfortable rooms, Skyliner access, and the food, our readers found that this resort provided them with the best bang for their buck.
Many argued that this resort might have the best price point on property for the amount of amenities offered! It’s the secret to vacationing at Disney on a budget for many of our readers.

My favorite resort at Walt Disney World are Star Movies Resort, Port Orleans French quarter and Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Pop Century is cool and all but Art of Animation provides many of the same amenities but with more movie references that little ones recognize. I’ll trade newer rooms for better decorations for my kids.
